Marino A. Micheli passed away March 4, 2026, at the age of 75. He was a resident of Puyallup, Washington.Marino was born September 3, 1950, to Giovanni and Marina Micheli in Capannori, Lucca, Italy. The Micheli family immigrated to United States in 1956, settling in Seattle. Marino quickly learned English watching Zorro and other TV westerns, attended Our Lady of Mount Virgin School where he quickly became a star on the baseball team leading it to multiple undefeated seasons.Marino is a 1969 graduate of Franklin High School in Seattle. While at Franklin Marino was the Varsity Football Quarterback and an All Star Second baseman and catcher on the baseball team. Though recruited to the University of Washington and several other colleges for baseball, Marino chose to enter the trades.Marino worked in construction for more than 37 years and was a proud member of Laborer's Local 242. He worked for Baugh Skanska the entirety of his career working on many projects that have shaped the Seattle skyline, retiring in 2010 as a Field Superintendent. More recently he served several terms as president of the Local 242 retirees counsel and was reelected to the post in February 2026.In 1972, Marino met the love of his life Susan Pedersen. They were married on November 8, 1976. Over the course of nearly 50 years of marriage the couple made their home primarily in Kirkland, Washington. Later, moving to Puyallup, Washington to be closer to their granddaughter.Marino will be remembered most for his love and care for his wife Linda, his devotion as a grandfather, his ability to connect with almost any personality and his enthusiasm for life. He is survived by his wife Susan Micheli, daughter Allison (Carl) Wainwright, granddaughter Madeline Wainwright, sisters, Pasquina Semrau, Giovanna O'Callaghan (Jim), Attilia Tolomei (Frank), six nieces and nephews, family members and friends in Washington, California, and Italy.The Recitation of the Rosary will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, located at 505 17th St SE, Auburn, WA 98002, on March 20, 2020, at 10:30 am. The Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am. A Reception follow in the Parish Center.The Committal Service will be held at 2:30 pm, on March 20, 2026, at Holyrood Cemetery - 205 NE 205th St, Shoreline, WA 98155.
