Marilyn Wihl ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Jerry Spears Funeral Home of Hilliard on Mar. 7, 2026.Our beautiful mother, Marilyn, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 7, 2026, surrounded by her children and loving husband. She lived a life filled with quiet love, kindness, and devotion to the people who meant the most to her.Mom was the loving mother of six children, a proud grandmother to 16 grandchildren, and a cherished great-grandmother to 24 great-grandchildren. Her family was her greatest joy and the center of her world. She had a way of making each of us feel loved, welcomed, and cared for in the simplest but most meaningful ways. She shared 70 wonderful years of marriage with the love of her life, John (Jack) Wihl. Their life together was a true example of enduring love, loyalty, and partnership. The bond they shared was something special that inspired everyone who knew them.Mom lived a simple and humble life. She never wanted attention or recognition, yet her quiet strength, warmth, and gentle spirit touched so many lives. She showed us that the greatest legacy is not found in grand gestures, but in everyday love, patience, and kindness. Her home and heart were always open, and the love she gave so freely will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her.Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort knowing she passed peacefully and that the love she built within our family will carry her memory forward forever. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever in our hearts. Preceded in death by, parents, Harold and Annabell Wagner. Survived by, loving husband of 70 years, John Wihl, children, John (Nina) Wihl, Catherine (Brian) Miller, Robert (Jackie) Wihl, Karen (Mike) Corsi, Patricia (Steven Mason) Hakes and Christine (Ted) Smith, 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, other family and friends.
