Marilyn Tyson Giddens

Mrs. Marilyn Tyson Giddens, age 90, of Sparks, Georgia, passed away at her home on March 14, 2026. Born in Cook County on May 27, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Gertrude G. Tyson. Marilyn lived in Miami for many years before returning to Cook County in 1997. In Florida she worked as a controller for a SFADA Tag Agency until her retirement. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Adel.

She is survived by her children, Janet Meders of Sparks, Jeff and April Giddens of Austin, Texas, and Judy and Toney Fulp of Hahira, Georgia; as well as her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Giddens; her sons-in-law, Terry Williams and Steven Meders; and her siblings, Norman Tyson, Leroy Tyson, J.W. Tyson, Lucille Sumner, Eula B. Shealey, and S.J. Tyson.
