Marilyn S. Plato

Marilyn S. Plato of Sabina, Ohio, passed away on March 16, 2026 at the age of 84.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Opal Hunt Pinion (Ben) and Issac Merriman (Josephine); her children, Wayne Michael and Pamela Benner; her sister Libby; her brother-in-law Bob Baker; her brothers, Herk Pinion and J. R. Merriman; her great-grandchild Jordan Benner; the father of her children, James Michael; and her former husband, Joseph Plato.

Marilyn is survived by her children, Gary Michael of Sabina, Janelle Mullins (Rob Stewart) of Sabina, and Scott Michael (Nicholas Haddix) of Dayton; her grandchildren, Anthony Mullins of Sabina, Kimberly Pauley (Arthur) of Sabina, Ben Benner of Sabina, Missy Benner of Sabina, Jeremy Benner of Sabina, and Hannah Davis (Justin Fields) of Wilmington; her siblings, Deanie Minton (John) of Sabina, Connie Pinion Yerian of Columbus, Tina Cannon (Ron) of Greenfield, Juanita Dillard of Greenfield, and Janette Fisher (Don) of Lake Alfred, Florida; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She will be remembered by all who knew her as a devoted mother and grandmother whose love for her family remained steadfast throughout her life.
