Marilyn Ruby Narowetz, age 75, passed away on March 9, 2026. Born in Marietta, Georgia on May 5, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Charles Brantley and Ruby Grace Payne Holley.

On May 29, 1982, Marilyn married the love of her life, Louis John Narowetz. Together they shared nearly 44 years of marriage filled with devotion and partnership.

A dedicated educator, Marilyn spent her career enriching the lives of countless students as a teacher at Ramer Elementary, Bethel Elementary, and Selmer Middle Schools. Even after retirement, she remained deeply engaged in her community through the Retired Teachers Association and the Democratic Women’s Committee. A woman of strong faith, she worshipped at Saltillo United Methodist Church in Saltillo, Tennessee, where Louis served as pastor. She found quiet happiness in the companionship of her dogs, Daffie and Bonnie, and experienced profound joy in the arrival of her grandson, Patrick, proudly embracing the name “G-Mom.”

Marilyn was preceded in death by her son, Lance Louis Narowetz; her brother, Morris Holley; her brother-in-law, Johnny Mathis; and her sister-in-law, Linda Gill Holley. She is survived by her husband, Louis Narowetz of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; her daughter, Laura Todd and husband Chris of Stuttgart, Arkansas; and her cherished grandson, Patrick Todd. She also leaves behind her brothers, Marvin Holley, Craig Holley and wife Michelle, and Roger Holley and wife Lynn; her sister, Olivia Mathis; her brother-in-law, Mark Crites; her sister-in-law, Linda Sutton Holley; and a wide circle of extended family and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
