Marilyn Riggs, 86 Marilyn J. Riggs, 86, passed away on February 14, 2026, in Coeur D'Alene Idaho. She was born July 28, 1939, in Bell, California, to Calvin Tilden A. Riggs and Isabelle Marion Trog Riggs. She is survived by her sister, Kathy Hodges, and brother-in-law, Bud Hodges of Post Falls; nieces Pamela Vaughn of Washington, Teri Rouse of Post Falls, and Denise Schmidt of Coeur d'Alene; and nephew Dan Hodges of Sacramento, California. Marilyn held a special place in her family as a truly remarkable aunt. She was adored by her nieces, nephews, and their children, who remember her as fun-loving, attentive, and always ready with a laugh, a game, or a moment that made them feel cherished. Her presence shaped their childhoods and their lives, and her love for them was one of her greatest joys. She was known for her quick wit, lively humor, and her love of being the center of attention. Marilyn made friends easily, and her bright spirit drew people in. She loved to play golf and also volunteered at a convalescent hospital in Carmichael, bringing comfort and cheer to residents. Her working years included roles as a real estate agent, apartment manager, manager at Ole' Frijole' and Grumpy's Burgers, and later at Safeway, where she retired in 2004. She moved to Post Falls to be near family and faithfully attended Real Life Church until her sister could no longer get her in the car. A Memorial Service will be held in honor of Marilyn Riggs at Bell Tower Funeral Home at 3398 E. Jenalan Ave, Post Falls, ID 83854, March 21, 2026 at 1:00 pm.
