Marilyn Ingman
September 9, 1931— March 10, 2026
Bloomington, MN
Marilyn Ingman, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, artist, and volunteer, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026.
Born in 1931 on a farm outside Wausa, Nebraska, to Harry and Helen Nelson, Marilyn lost her father at a young age in 1944. She and her mother then moved to Minneapolis to live with relatives. She attended Minnehaha Academy High School, where she met Robert Ingman. The couple married in 1951 and shared more than six decades together until Bob’s passing in 2015. Marilyn was preceded in death by her older brother Marlind, who died in 2000.
A talented porcelain artist, Marilyn created thousands of pieces in her own kiln over the years. She found joy in flowers, fishing, cooking, and entertaining family and friends. Her generous spirit led her to volunteer extensively throughout her life, always finding fulfillment in serving others.
Marilyn is survived by her son Jim (MarySue), her daughter Mary Robinson (Ken), three grandsons—Mark (Anj), Ryan (Jaxs), and Branden (MaryBeth)—five great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She spent her final fifteen years at Presbyterian Homes of Bloomington, where she was lovingly cared for by dedicated staff.
