Marilyn Ann “Muffin” Hall, age 64, of Callaway, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Born on May 1, 1961, in New York, she was the daughter of the late Ben and Bev Hall. The family moved to Virginia in 1977, where she lived for the remainder of her life. She was married to Ronnie Gillispie, with whom she had a daughter, Doreen. Her second marriage was to Charlie Haley, and after his passing she married Jimmy Hall.
Muffin found joy in junk journaling, painting, and traveling. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-nephew TJ. She was known for her warm heart and the genuine affection she showed those closest to her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Ethel Hall and Vivian Hyatt; her husbands, Charlie Haley and Jimmy Hall; nephews Mark and DJ Hall; niece Amber Hall; and stepdaughter Tammy Woody Dalton.
She is survived by her daughter, Doreen Shively (Ricky Via); stepson, Jim Hall; grandchildren, Haley Gillispie, Grace Causey, and Travis Broughman; great-grandchildren, Nagisa, Seth, and Phinx; brothers Chuck Hall (Dawn) of Oxford, Maine, Doug Hall (Linda), and Dennis Hall (Mona) of Callaway; sister-in-law Debbie Hall; nieces and nephews Charlie, Andrea, Kaleb, and Jacob Hall, and Robert King; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She also leaves special lifelong friends Rosemary and Mark Funk. Muffin was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
