Marilyn Drenth

Marilyn Joyce Drenth, 81, of Ellsworth, passed away on March 5, 2026. She was born on January 18, 1945, in Charlevoix, the daughter of Gerrit and Ida (Heeres) Drenth.

Marilyn was a secretary by trade and spent many years working for Ellsworth Public Schools and the Christian Reformed Church, also in Ellsworth. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping online and going to craft shows with her friends. She was an animal lover her whole life and loved being with her cat Snoopie.

She is survived in death by several cousins.

Preceding her in death are her parents.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 11, from 5-7pm, at the Ellsworth Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 12, at 1pm, at the Christian Reformed Church in Ellsworth. Visitation will take place from noon until the time of service.

In Marilyns honor, memorial contributions can be made to the Christian Reformed Church in Ellsworth or the Ebenezer Christian School in Ellsworth.

Arrangements are in the care of the Ellsworth Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
