Marilyn (Weyeneth) Blystone, 90, of Fairview, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

Born in Girard on April 7, 1935, she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy Weyeneth. Marilyn graduated from Girard High School, where she ran shuttle relay as a Junior Olympian and was voted prom queen. She went on to graduate from Hamot Hospital School of Nursing and built a dedicated career at Hamot Hospital in Erie, St. Luke’s Hospital in Spokane, Washington, and Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Erie.

An active member of Weis Library United Methodist Church, the Fairview Garden Club, the Erie Guild of Craftsmen, and the Presque Isle Artists Association, Marilyn found her greatest joy in time spent with her sons and their families. She also cherished gardening, crafts, painting, travel, watching Erie sunsets, and collecting beach glass and colorful rocks. Her deep faith in God, along with her love for family and friends, sustained her with a positive attitude, a ready smile, and boundless energy for the things she loved.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Glenn Blystone; her son, Barry Glenn Blystone; her parents, William and Dorothy Weyeneth; her brother, William Weyeneth and his wife Judy; her sister, Janet Northrop and her husband Kenneth; and her brother-in-law, Richard Blystone and sister-in-law, Joyce Pettigrew.

Marilyn is survived by her son, Timothy Kevin Blystone and his wife Patty; her daughter-in-law Kathy Blystone; her beloved grandchildren, William Blystone, Robert Blystone, Brittany Blystone, Michelle Holland and her husband Ethan, and Kristin Blystone; two sisters, Audrey Ellis and her husband Edmund and Dorothy Hayes; her sister-in-law, Margaret Hewel and her husband Gerald; and many nieces and nephews.
