Marilyn A. Bramhall

Marilyn A. Bramhall, age 92, of Richmond, Indiana, died on March 10, 2026, at Reid Health. Born on March 13, 1933, in Logansport, Indiana, to Earl H. and Hilda Wolller Dowell, she lived in Richmond for most of her life. A 1951 graduate of Richmond High School and a 1954 graduate of Reid Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Marilyn worked as a registered nurse in Pediatrics at Reid Hospital for 26 years before retiring in 1980.

She married John “Bud” Bramhall on June 18, 1955, and they shared 65 years of marriage until his death in 2021. In her younger years, Marilyn enjoyed sewing. Later in life, she and Bud attended auctions together, where she developed a keen eye for decorating and for finding unusual items that she thoughtfully incorporated into her home.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Holly Paxton of Fishers, Indiana; her niece, Laura Bramhall (Joe) O’Mera of Glenview, Illinois; her nephew, Robert Bramhall of Glenview, Illinois; and several cousins, including Cherie Stevenson and Kay Faulkner of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Patricia Mitchell of Omaha, Nebraska; Earl (Julie) Woller of Urbana, Illinois; Jerry (Marilyn) Woller of St. Joe, Illinois; Amy Martin of Urbana, Illinois; and Virgie Roberts of Urbana, Illinois, along with many special friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John “Bud” Bramhall; her son-in-law, Phillip W. Paxton; and her parents.
