Marie Bolduc-Broscha ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Wallingford Funeral Home - Wallingford on Mar. 16, 2026.Marie Louise Bolduc-Broscha "Nina", 83, of Middletown was called home on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 2:59 am. She was the loving wife of the late Dale H. Broscha.Born in Hartford on May 4, 1942, to Jennie Mercier-Bolduc, and Romeo Bolduc.Marie had a happy childhood and adored her parents and her siblings. Life changed when Marie lost her mother to cancer at the age of 12-years old. Marie chose to sacrifice her education to care for her siblings she loved so much. Marie found love in her five children, and on July 5, 1997, Marie married the love of her life Dale H. Broscha of Hudson, South Dakota. Marie loved music and dancing, with her family affectionately regarding her as the "Polka Queen of Middletown." Marie was renowned for her fierce love and pride of her family, friends, and her Faith in the Lord. Marie lived by the Mantra, you are as young as your heart and as old as your cynicism. She reflected this in her humor, her love of humor and love of scaring people at the Haunted Graveyard, and it was only fitting she would pass on Friday the Thirteenth. With a great fondness for sweets, and her personality being just as sweet; she lit up every room she entered.Marie is survived by her children; Keith Cyr (Karlene Duplessis), Nancy Wooten, Jennie Styra (Mark), of Middletown, CT, and David Cyr (Angie) of Mount Pleasant, NC, Twelve Grandchildren: Bryan, Tania, Jessica, Ashley J (Trevor), Kyle (Jenna), Jon, Ashley L, Ryan, Faith, Gabriel, Celia, eight great-grandchildren with her ninth still incubating, siblings Diane Andrew, Paul Bolduc, Eleanor Bolduc, and countless nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Marie is predeceased by her husband Dale Broscha, her parents, her brothers: Romeo, Joseph, and Phillip Bolduc; her son Joseph Bolduc, Son-in-Law Paul Wooten, and her grandson Patrick Reynolds. From Marie/Nina's family to all: Marie passed quietly at Twin Maples Care Facility in Durham, CT, surrounded by her family.Dementia is an unforgiven disease. We will miss her dearly.Marie's Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, services begin at 4pm at the Rooted Lounge, 66 Killingworth Road, Haddam, CT 06441.Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home.www.wallingfordfh.comTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
