Marie Carmelite Alexandre, affectionately known as Tisè, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, in Hyde Park, Massachusetts. Born on July 16, 1954, in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti, she later made her home in Hyde Park, where she lived for many years surrounded by her loving family, dear friends, and a supportive community.
Carmelite will be remembered for her vibrant personality, her can-do attitude, and her deep love of laughter, life, travel, and good food. Her warmth and generosity touched everyone around her, bringing comfort and joy to those who knew her.
She was predeceased by her parents, Vierginia Cadet and Demeurant Alexandre, and her siblings, Alice, Antoine, Anselme, Viergela, Yvette, Rosana, and Gedeon. She is survived by her husband, Wesner Dumay, her sister Cleomie Marius, her children Lineda Yoyo (Emmanuel Yoyo), Clifford Dumay (Marie Danielle Bellanton Dumay), Marc Dumay (Judeline Dumay), Phabiola Dumay (Vladimir Jeune), Jasmine Dumay, and adoptive daughter Stephanie Damefils (Jeff Damefils), as well as her 18 cherished grandchildren: Euniss, Anabelle, Gretchen, Theophile, Claire, Ezra, Joulie, Gisele, Nora, Alexander, Logan, Vivienne, Henri, Leyla, Eloise, Ellery, Abigail, and Aaron. She also leaves behind her beloved nephew Caleb, who was like a son to her, along with many loving nephews, nieces, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
