Marie Ann Corbiere
July 19, 1934— March 7, 2026
Windsor, CO
Marie Ann Corbiere, a first-generation American born on July 19, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York, to Joseph and Stella Dudynski, passed away at the age of 91 on March 7, 2026, in Windsor, Colorado. She grew up with her younger sister, Verna, attended New York public schools, and graduated from Erasmus High School in 1952. Marie went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Niagara University in 1956. While at university, she met Thomas Corbiere, and the couple married on January 26, 1957, in Niagara Falls, where they began raising their family.
In 1966, the family moved to Hilton, New York, when Tom joined the Eastman Kodak Company. Marie was an active member of her community, devoting time to her local parish, the VFW Women’s Auxiliary, and a local Boy Scout Troop. A talented craftswoman, she kept her five children warm with her handmade knit slippers, hats, and mittens. The family relocated again in 1973 to Windsor, Colorado, following Tom’s transfer. Marie returned to school in the late 1970s to earn her Colorado nursing license and worked as a registered nurse at Windsor Health Care and Fairacres Manor until her retirement.
Marie and Tom embraced retirement by traveling extensively across the United States in their RV. Her meticulous nature was evident in the detailed handwritten journals she kept, recording favorite restaurants, travel memories, and even the best gas prices along their routes. A lifelong sports enthusiast with deep New York roots, she cherished memories of attending Brooklyn Dodgers games with her father and maintained an encyclopedic knowledge of baseball. She was also a passionate Denver Broncos fan and, with Tom, became a proud inaugural season ticket holder for the Colorado Eagles hockey team.
Marie found joy in knitting, cross-stitching, painting, and tending her flower gardens. She instilled a love of reading in her children through regular library visits and trips to the neighborhood bookmobile. She is survived by her five children, Mary Donaldson (Doug) of Fort Collins, Tom Corbiere (Eileen) of Grants Pass, Oregon, Victoria Hall (Wally) of Eaton, Steven Corbiere (Becky) of Fort Collins, and Christopher Corbiere (Kathleen) of Cheyenne, as well as her 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and her sister, Verna Rubatzky (Vince) of Lake Mary, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Thomas Corbiere, her infant son Marc, her parents Joseph and Stella Dudynski, and her grandson Charles Timothy Hall.
