Marie A. Berrigan

Marie A. Berrigan, née Dentamaro, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, at the age of 98. Born on October 24, 1927, in Chicago to Nicholas and Lucille Dentamaro, she spent her life surrounded by the love of her family.

She was the beloved wife of Clayton J. Berrigan, Jr. Marie was a devoted mother to Judy (Tom) Hund and Kathleen (John) VanDerMeulen, and a cherished grandmother to Victoria Paliulis, Lindsey Brown, Jaclyn Mullins, Monica Hill, Jeremy Brown, Jeffrey VanDerMeulen, Colleen O’Donaghue, Renee Berrigan, Kelly Borcherding, and many great-grandchildren. She was the dear sister of Patricia Jacobson and a fond aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Marie was preceded in death by her son Patrick Berrigan (Laura), her daughter Therese (Jim) Brown, her grandson Daniel Hund, and her sister Elizabeth Pacelli. She will be remembered for the quiet strength and deep love she showed her family throughout her long life.
