Marian Sue Winters

Marian Sue Winters, 85, of Forsyth, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026. Born on October 29, 1940, in Valdosta, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Lamar Wardlow Winters and Mary Geneva Snow Winters.

Marian served for many years as the lunchroom manager at Mary Persons High School. She had a deep passion for flowers and making things beautiful, spending countless hours tending her gardens and generously sharing their blooms with friends. A devoted member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church, she found great joy in singing in the choir.

She is survived by her brother, Larry Winters (Janice), of Forsyth; nephew Andrew Winters (Khoa) of Louisville, Kentucky; niece Jennifer Hunnicutt (Justin) of Forsyth; nephew Butch Winters of Loganville, Georgia; nephew Russ Winters (Eric) of Covington, Kentucky; and many other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by her son, Kirk Williams; brothers Russell Winters and Wayne Winters; and sister-in-law Shirley Winters.
