Maria Jose Domingues

Maria (Gomes) Domingues passed away on March 10, 2026. She was born on October 18, 1939, in Sintra, Portugal, the daughter of Diogo Gomes and Antonieta (Teixeira) Gomes. Maria later made her home in Nashua, New Hampshire, where she built a life centered on family, hard work, and community.

Maria was the beloved wife of Patrick Domingues for 68 years. Together they immigrated to the United States in 1970 and settled in Nashua. She dedicated many years of service to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center as a central processing technician, quietly supporting the care of countless patients and earning the respect of her colleagues through her dedication and reliability.

Maria will be remembered for her kindness, strong work ethic, and the love she shared with those around her. A woman of deep and enduring faith, she found strength and comfort in her beliefs throughout her life. She greeted every day with a warm smile that brightened the rooms she entered. Above all, Maria cherished her family and especially treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Patrick; her daughter Maria Terrio and her husband Bill; her son Cesar Domingues and his wife Sandra; and her daughter Dr. Ana Domingues and her husband Andy Martin. She also leaves behind nine beloved grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Maria was laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashua, New Hampshire.
