She was born August 18, 1956, in Michoacán, Mexico, the daughter of Jesus Rodriguez and Esther Rios. Maria was employed at Honeywell as a machine operator for over 30 years. She enjoyed walking, traveling, and tending to her garden. Maria also volunteered many hours at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aurora. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her friends and family. Maria is survived by her three sisters: Leticia (the late Crisanto) Contreras, Graciela (Juan) Baltierrez, and Maria Arroyo; and five brothers: Javier (Hortencia), Jesus Manuel (Maria), Carlos (Vicky), Jose Luis (Angelica), and Armando (Juanita); along with many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Juan Jr. The family will be receiving guests Friday, March 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery. A Funeral Mass will take place Friday, March 13, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 420 E. Downer Place, Aurora.
