Maria Monsivais ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home on Mar. 17, 2026.Maria Dora Elia Monsivais, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, in Eagle Pass, Texas.She was born in Mexico to her loving parents, Eusebio Monsivais and Maria Elisa Verastigui, who preceded her in death and her brothers and sisters Erminio Monsivais, Jesus Antonio Monsiviais, Alicia Almanza, Leonor Monsivais.Maria dedicated much of her life to caring for her family. She had a deep love for simple joys-knitting, sewing, dancing, and listening to music brought her great happiness. Her warm spirit and gentle presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.She was a devoted Catholic whose faith guided her throughout her life.Maria is survived by her children, Vicente Chavez and wife Elizabeth, Lucy Solis and husband Alfredo Javier and Oscar Chavez. She also leaves behind seven cherished grandchildren: Kayla Barrera, Alyssa Flores, Angelina Chavez, Clarissa Solis, Ayleen Chavez, Jelsea Solis, and Aleida Chavez, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.A Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2026 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, a Rosary will take place at 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial is set for 10:00 A.M, Wednesday, March 25, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church., 408 Fort Clark Rd.Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.Maria Dora Elia Monsivais will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the love she gave so freely to her family.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
