Maria Domenica Dal Corobbo
March 2, 1937— March 9, 2026
Morton Grove, IL
Maria Domenica “Mary” Dal Corobbo, 89, of Morton Grove, Illinois, passed away on March 9, 2026, in Glenview.
A lifelong resident of Morton Grove, Mary graduated from Niles Township High School East and spent her career at G.D. Searle in Skokie, where she advanced to supervisor of the company’s primate colony. After retirement, she volunteered at Saint Martha Church, a parish that had been central to her life since her parents, Battista and Albina (Munari) Dal Corobbo, were married there in 1933. Her faith and the friendships she formed at Saint Martha brought her great comfort and joy.
Mary was the beloved aunt of Charles (Deborah) and John (Melissa) Dal Corobbo and the cherished great-aunt of Camden, Nolan, and Gianni Dal Corobbo. She served as godmother to Jay Rain and was a devoted “second mother” to Debra Regan, the children of her late dearest friend, Sandra Klemp. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Bruno Dal Corobbo, her sister-in-law Frances Fenwick, and her nephew Michael Dal Corobbo.
Later in life, Mary found deep happiness when she met her soulmate, Joseph Zuccollo of Morton Grove. The two planned to marry, but Joe passed away shortly after caring for his own mother in her final years. Mary’s quiet strength, loyalty, and capacity for love will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
