Maria "Mariani" Battaglio

Maria Battaglio, born Maria Mariani on June 16, 1946, in New York, passed away in 2026. She grew up in New York with her mother and sister. In 1965, she married LeRoy Battaglio, and together they raised five children while making their home in New York, California, Arizona, Mississippi, and Missouri.

Maria dedicated her career to nursing and found joy in creating a variety of crafts in her free time. She was known for her steady presence and the care she extended to both her patients and her family.

She is survived by her sons, Joseph Battaglio of Madison, Missouri, and Tony Battaglio and his wife Alma of Milton, Florida; her daughters, Kim Sharitt of Holliday, Missouri, and Edith Ensor and her husband Matt Ensor of Holliday, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
