Marguerite "Marty" Taul

Marguerite "Marty" Taul was born on March 24, 1940, in Hackleburg, Alabama, and passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 9, 2026. She grew up in Honea Path, South Carolina, where she was a longtime member of the First Assembly of God. In 1968, she married Glen Taul and moved to Texas, where she was embraced by the Taul family. After several relocations, Marty and Glen settled in Derby, Kansas, near family and friends. Together they raised three children.

Marty cherished her husband and family above all, offering them devoted care during times of illness and hardship. She found joy in reading, music, playing games and crossword puzzles, shopping, and all things sparkling and bold. Known for her vibrant personality, Marty had a gift for making an entrance and lighting up any room she entered.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Smith; her sisters, Lorene Cooley and Carole Frank; her brother, William “Buck” Smith; and her son, Mark Ford. Marty is survived by her husband, Glen Taul; her children, Dana and Rick Frank, and David and Terri Taul; seven grandchildren, Nick, Matthew, Sierra, Abby, Bobby, Steven, and Lilly; eleven great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.
