March 26, 1947— March 15, 2026
Providence, RI
Marguerite Andreoni, 78, of Providence, passed away peacefully at home on March 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Rodney Andreoni, with whom she shared 56 years of an inseparable and devoted marriage. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Marguerite (Gorman) Racca.
Marguerite dedicated over 25 years to the Providence School Department as a special education teacher, where she was known for her patience, compassion, and deep commitment to the students and families she served.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children: Jason P Andreoni, Dean J Andreoni and his person Wil Gelfuso, and Lauren M. Andreoni and her partner Michelle Phillips. She was the cherished grandmother of Joey Santiago, Jaxon Andreoni, and Cory Andreoni; the proud great-grandmother of Arianna and Jameson Andreoni; and is also survived by her sister and best friend Carol Paiva. She was the sister of the late Ralph Racca. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who were an important part of her life.
Marguerite will be remembered for her warmth, her deep devotion to her family, and the traditions she created around the table—especially her famous meatballs that brought everyone together. She loved music, enjoyed sharing laughter with those around her, and was a devoted New England Patriots fan who rarely missed a game.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., followed by a Prayer Service at Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence at 4:00 p.m
