Margie Louise Garlen, 89, of Toccoa, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Pruitt Health Toccoa.
She lived a long and quiet life in the community she called home for many years. Known for her independent spirit and clear sense of what she wanted, Margie chose to have her remains cremated with no formal visitation or service, in keeping with her personal wishes.
She is remembered by those who knew and loved her as a woman of strength and simplicity who lived life on her own terms.
