Marge Wetmore

Marge Wetmore was born on April 15, 1931, in Hudson, Colorado, and grew up in San Angelo, Texas. She passed away on March 10, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona, at the age of 94.

In 1950, she married Allen Wetmore, a young airman. Together for 43 years, they raised five children. Marge remained deeply dedicated to her family, encouraging each child’s dreams and creative interests while staying actively involved in every community they called home.

She had a lifelong love of learning and took great joy in helping others grow. In the late 1970s, Marge opened a quilt shop, where her passion for quilting found full expression as she shared her skills and enthusiasm with countless others. Throughout a life that was often demanding and full of change, she remained a passionate, caring, and truly giving person.

Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Wetmore, and her oldest son, Lee Wetmore. She is survived by her sons Tim Wetmore and Larry Wetmore, her daughters Terri Speigner (Martell Speigner) and Jean Kerr (Ken Kerr), her daughter-in-law Gloria Wetmore, her beloved sister Charlotte Wilson, 12 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Her family grieves the loss of the mainstay of their lives while remaining deeply grateful for the years they shared with her.
