Cleveland, OH

MARGARET T. PRETO age 76; loving mother of Carol (John) Richards; devoted grandmother of Stephanie (Dennis) Inman and great-grandmother of Patrick Preto and Emma Inman; cherished daughter of the late Paul and Helen (nee Dunn) Preto; dearest sister of Jack (Jan), Bob, Tim (Sue), and the late Pat, Mike (Denise), Frank, Tom, Paul (Cindy), Anna Mae (Don, deceased) Miller, Ellen Jean, and Maureen; dear aunt, great-aunt, and friend of many. Margaret, fondly known by many as Margie or Margy, was born on June 10, 1949, to Paul and Helen in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a lifelong social butterfly who loved being with her family and friends, always putting their needs before her own. Margaret was also active in the community as a member of the Willoughby American Legion, Eagles, and VFW. She especially enjoyed helping the VFW with their Chinese auctions and other functions. Outside of her volunteer work, Margaret enjoyed traveling with family, including her nieces and nephews. Her favorite destinations were the casino or anywhere that let her be her naturally sociable self. Some of Margaret's favorite trips included her trip to Hawaii with her brother Frank, and a Disney Cruise that she took with her daughter and granddaughter. She was a good friend to her siblings, especially Bob who was her roommate for the last 15 years. Margaret was the type of person who always cared about you, no matter how far away you were or how long ago you met. She remembered everyone's birthday and always made sure to wish you a happy birthday every single year. Margaret returned home to heaven on Sunday, March 15, 2026, and will be remembered as a woman who was loved by many.
