Margaret Phillips of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ernest Rogers and Mayme Gaines Rogers, was born August 31, 1933, in Green County, Kentucky. She passed away on March 14, 2026, at the age of 92.
A woman of quiet faith, Margaret was a longtime member of First Methodist Church. She married James R. Phillips on June 14, 1958; he preceded her in death on July 30, 2000. After working at First Federal Bank, she and her husband co-owned Phillips Lanes, where she spent many happy years working alongside him.
Margaret was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love for her family was evident in all she did. She is survived by her son, Mike Phillips and wife Shay of Campbellsville; her daughter, Kim Phillips Bernth and husband Tom of Naples, Florida; four grandchildren, Cole Smith and husband Logan, Ashley Turner and husband Jonathan of Campbellsville, Griffon Bernth, and Grace Bernth of Naples, Florida; and four great-grandchildren, Barrett Smith, Ada Smith, Ames Turner, and Elliot Turner. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and many cherished relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her eight siblings: Hollis Rogers, Clay Rogers, Paul Rogers, John Shelby Rogers, Richard Rogers, Fannie Belle Sapp, Louise Buck, and Cleo Fryback.
