Margaret Mary Haubert, 87, of Yardville (Hamilton), passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at her home with her family by her side.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, Margaret lived in Old Bridge and later Toms River before moving to Yardville to live with her son. Before retiring, she spent more than 16 years working in the handbag department at JCPenney in East Brunswick. Earlier in her career, she worked as a bookkeeper for Shell Oil Company.

Margaret was a talented painter and an avid reader. Despite her quiet nature, she had a very strong will, a vibrant personality, and a wonderful sense of humor. She had a warm smile and a graciousness that made even strangers like her instantly. With her immeasurable love for family and friends, she will be missed by all who knew her. Her love, strength, and gentle spirit will remain with her family always.

Daughter of the late Joseph G. and Margaret M. Dona, she was predeceased by her loving husband, William J. Haubert Sr. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William J. Haubert Jr. and Michele Haubert; her grandchildren, Jake and Katelyn Haubert; her sister, Francis McDermott; and many loving nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Peppler Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
