Margaret Markiewicz

Margaret “Dolly” Markiewicz, née Doody, passed away on March 8, 2026, at the age of 86. Born in Chicago on August 24, 1939, to Maurice and Teresa Doody, she lived a life centered on family and quiet devotion.

A loving wife, Dolly shared many years with her husband, George A. Markiewicz, and now rests with him in eternal peace. She was a devoted daughter and sister, and a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is remembered with great affection as a caring stepmother to Scott (Dawn) Markiewicz. Dolly was the dear sister of Mary (the late Tom) and the late Eileen (the late John). She was a loving aunt to Thomas (Jean), Michael (Lisa), Mary (John), Brian (Elsa), Eileen, Tim, Kevin, and the late John, and a cherished great-aunt to many grandnieces and grandnephews.

Her family will carry forward the warmth and steadfast love she showed them throughout her life.
