Margaret Cremer ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home - Jordan on Mar. 3, 2026.Margaret Louise Cremer, age 94, passed away on March 3, 2026, at the Garfield County Health Center, surrounded by her family.Margaret Brown was born to Ira and Minnie Milroy Brown on September 28, 1931, on the Milroy homestead on L.S Creek in Garfield County. She joined Adrian and William and was followed by Freddie, Sterling, Harold, and Delpha. When her parents moved to Fort Peck to work on the building of Fort Peck Dam Margaret started the first grade in Park Grove. The family left Fort Peck in the fall of the same year, and Margaret finished the rest of her schooling in Jordan, MT graduating in 1950. As a junior in High School Margaret started working for the County Attorney, Robert Purcell. She continued her work in law until 1972.Margaret met and married Joe Rhoads in 1951. Joe and Margaret had Jacqlynn Jo in 1952, Delbert Franklin in 1955, and Sterling Kim in 1959. They eventually separated and Margaret married PT (Spud) Cremer in 1970. Kathrynn Ann was born in 1972. Upon Kathy's birth Margaret retired to be a stay-at-home mom, eventually running a daycare out of her home.In 1985, Spud and Margaret moved to Big Timber where she helped Spud with the Cort Bar for a few years. She moved to Billings and started another daycare in her home in 1992 until she retired and moved back to Jordan in 2001.Margaret worked hard all her life. She was known for doting on her family. Her biggest joy was hosting get-togethers for her siblings and her extended family, the Milroy's, and the McKerlick's. They all grew up together and were close all her life.Margaret was preceded in death by her sons, Delbert and Kim, her parents Ira and Minnie, her brothers Adrian, William, Freddie, and Baben, her son-in-law, Bob Gregg, her grandchild Dixi Gregg, and her great granddaughter, Claire Potts.Margaret is survived by her daughters, Jacque Gregg and Kathy Cremer. Her brother Sterling (Jan) Brown, her sister Delpha Wood. Grandchildren, Deana, Darci, Devin, Dalauna, Danielle, Erika, and John. And nine great-grandchildren.Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a funeral immediately following at 2:00 p.m. at Steveson & Son's Funeral Home in Miles City, MT. Should friends desire memorials can be made to the Garfield County Ambulance Fund or to the Garfield Historical & Cultural Society in Jordan.
