"Marge" Wehlage, née Kalmes, of Wheeling, formerly of Glenview, age 104, died Thursday, March 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Devoted daughter of the late John and Barbara, née Hohs, she was born December 19, 1921, in Skokie.Beloved wife of the late Victor Wehlage; cherished mother to Susan (Jeffrey) Bitzer, Delores "Lori" (the late James) Sharpe, Mary Forte, and John (Beverly Beine) Wehlage; proud grandmother to 13 grandchildren; and dear nana to 21 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Dennis "Bruce" Webster and James Sharpe; a granddaughter, Angela Forte, and a grandson, Shawn Bitzer; and numerous brothers, sisters, and in-laws.Marge was the matriarch of her family and the glue that kept her tight-knit family together and the best of friends. A woman of boundless faith, she was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Glenview. Cherished by her family and countless friends, Marge never met a stranger.
