Margaret J. "Bremner" Pelosi

Margaret J. (Bremner) Pelosi, a longtime resident of Malden, Massachusetts, passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 84. Born in Orange, New Jersey, in 1941, she was the daughter of James Stuart and Eva H. Bremner. She moved to Malden at an early age, where she was raised and educated, graduating from Malden High School with the Class of 1958. She continued her studies at the Chandler School of Business in Boston before beginning a career with the Massachusetts Port Authority. There she met and worked for Edward J. King, later supporting his successful campaign for Governor and serving on his staff at the Statehouse. She went on to work in property management for RM Bradley and, in her later years, became a respected real estate broker with Century 21 Advance Realty in Medford, retiring at the age of 81.

In 1963, Margaret married her longtime sweetheart, Richard A. Pelosi. Together they raised their family in Malden and shared 50 years of marriage until Richard’s passing in 2013. Margaret was an avid tennis player for many years, forming deep and lasting friendships on the court that extended into cherished family vacations and celebrations. A devoted member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Parish for more than 60 years, she found great joy and community among her church friends. In retirement, she remained active, taking daily walks with her beloved dog Jennie.

She is survived by her daughters, Deborah L. Pelosi Shedd of Wakefield and Susanne L. Griffin of North Reading, her grandchildren Dylan, Sabrina, Parker, and Spencer, and her dear lifelong friend of more than 80 years, Lynda Rowlings Chapman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Pelosi, and her sister, Nancy J. Stella.
