She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Thomas Baggett and Luby Maready Baggett; her husband Leland Zegelien; her son Timothy Zegelien; and her brothers, Franklin and David Baggett.
She is survived by: her children, Kimberly Zegelien, Tammy Strickland (Thomas), Leigh Ann Walker (Jeff) and Leland Paul Zegelien (Traci); her grandchildren, Lauren Riggs (Sam), Mikayla Hurt (Andrew), Marissa Rice (Jeremy), Brooklyn Strickland, Dionysus, Drew Strickland, Karlie Strickland, Chet Walker, Lucas Zegelien, Asher Strickland and Ty Walker; her great grandchildren, Emilia Riggs, Theo Riggs, Rosemary Hurt, Rivy Rice, Elody Rice and Finn Hurt; and her siblings, Geraldine Walton, Pauline Hitt and Thomas Baggett. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel (303 Chaney Ave, Jacksonville, NC 28540). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Onslow Memorial Park (3280 Richlands Hwy, Jacksonville, NC 28540).
