She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Cotter and Emilie Cotter, her partner, Bob Pasko, and her brothers, Tim Cotter and Tom Cotter. She is survived by her son, Chris Landry, her nephews Tom Cotter, John Cotter, and William Cotter, and her niece, Mary (Andi) Heusser. Peg devoted over 40 years of service as a nurse at Columbia St. Mary's, where she cared deeply for others throughout her career.Peg's career spanned over 40 years at Columbia St Mary's in various staff nurse and leadership roles including PM/Night Supervisor, Administrative House Officer, SICU Supervisor and Manager of Physician Relations. Some memorable moments included delivering a baby in the elevator in the East Facility and another in the parking lot, performing CPR in a moving car from parking structure to the ER and once found herself on the roof of the hospital talking a man out of committing suicide. She hosted regular training sessions at the Milwaukee Police Academy focused on mental health and managing work related stress with the recruits.In her younger years she spent her down time traveling on adventures with her friends to places like Ireland, Hawaii, Grand Canyon and Mexico. The multi-day sailboat trips in the Caribbean with her close friends were special.Later years were filled with love, laughter and adventures with her Bob. They would spend time away from work camping in Governor Dodge State Park or hosting her parents at the cabin in Northern Wisconsin. Her hobbies changed with the seasons … fishing, cooking, painting, reading, gardening … a long list of things that filled her soul. As an animal lover, her many dogs lived charming lives which she loved dearly.A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, March 19, at Heritage Funeral Homes (1901 N. Farwell Ave. Milwaukee) from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., with the Nurse's Honor Guard presenting at 5:30 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 5:45 p.m.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
