Margaret C. "Peg" Clarke

Margaret C. Clarke, age 96, passed away on March 6, 2026. Born on October 22, 1929, in Norristown, Pennsylvania, to Joseph A. Jr. and Margaret (Cassel) Coleman, she grew up with deep roots in her community. In 1950 she married Samuel C. Clarke of Chambersburg, and the two shared 66 years of marriage until his death in 2016.

Margaret was a devoted member of the Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring for more than five decades. She also belonged to the Chambersburg Afternoon Club and gave many years of quiet, faithful service as a volunteer at Chambersburg Hospital. Known for her steady presence and gentle spirit, she touched the lives of those around her through her longstanding commitments to faith, friendship, and caring for others.

She is survived by her three daughters, Linda Jensen and husband Tom of Warren, Pennsylvania, Debbie Noe of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and Lisa Mundell and husband Don of West Palm Beach, Florida; three grandchildren, Elizabeth B. Lee and husband John, Daniel Blackman and wife Loren, and Drew Mundell; and three great-granddaughters, Nina, Emilia, and Isabelle Blackman.
