Margaret Barbara Chaney

Margaret Barbara Chaney of Canton, Ohio, passed away on March 16, 2026 at the age of 80. She lived a life deeply rooted in family, leaving behind a legacy of love and connection remembered fondly by all who knew her.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Robert L. Chaney; her parents, Coni Spitale and Mary Spitale (Repace); her brothers, Mike and Art Spitale; her son, Robert R. Chaney; and her granddaughter, Haley Eckroad.

She is survived by her sisters, Mary Swain (Spitale) and Judy Esway-Cugino (Gary); her children, Tracy Eckroad (Chris) and Kirk Chaney; her daughters-in-law, Tina Chaney and Kate Chaney; and her grandchildren, Aaron Eckroad (Jessica), Reanna Thorn (Micah), Maggie Schut (Michael), Rebecca Tubbs (Ben), Joe, Jeremiah Chaney, Polly Gorodillina, and Alice Chaney. Margaret was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren.
