Margaret Ann Wade

Margaret Ann Wade, 91, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026. Born on May 1, 1934, in Springdale, Arkansas, she was the youngest child of William and Velma Wist. The family later moved to Wichita, where Margaret attended the Planeview schools. In 1954, she married Herschel Wade, and together they raised three daughters.

Margaret cherished her time with family and friends. She remained especially close to a special group of women from Planeview for more than seven decades. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel; her brother, Richard Wist; her sisters, Alene Pool and Marcie Garton; and her son-in-law, Terry Finger.

She is survived by her daughters, Jo Ellen Purkey, Pat Finger, and Nancy (Don) Rose; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
