Margaret Ann Rettig

Margaret Ann Rettig, 88, of Lima, Ohio, passed away on March 14, 2026. Born on November 3, 1937, in Lima to Augustus and Nancy (Caruso) Cira, she was a lifelong resident who cherished her family and her faith.

On June 23, 1956, Margaret married Robert Rettig. Together they shared nearly seven decades of marriage, celebrating their 69th anniversary shortly before Robert’s death on July 15, 2025. A longtime member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Margaret retired from JCPenney after many years of dedicated service.

She is survived by her children, Edward (Lisa) Rettig, Marcia (Robert) Greve, and Robert (Trish) Rettig; grandchildren, Jennifer (Andrew) Rietz, Robert Rettig, Rachel (Ryan) Lanciaux, Ryan (Natalie) Rettig, and Robyn (Cody) Walsworth; and great-grandchildren, Caroline, Alaina, Adalyn, Lily, Lucas, Warren, Max, Olivia, and Rhett.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her siblings, Jim Cira, Frank Cira, Josephine Fox, Tony Cira, Joe Cira, Rosemary Michael, and Nettie Cira.
