February 15, 1934— March 10, 2026
Youngstown, OH
Margaret Ann Belcik, 92, of Youngstown, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, surrounded by her family at the Hospice of Reserve in Cleveland.
Born on February 15, 1934, in Youngstown, Margaret was the daughter of the late Peter and Anna Rigelsky Deley. A 1951 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, she worked for Ohio Bell for five years after graduation. In 1956 she married the love of her life, Michael J. Belcik, at Saint Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. The couple shared 68 devoted years together.
Margaret and Michael shared a passion for polka music and enjoyed attending community dances with friends. She took great pride in her roles as a loving mother and homemaker, and she remained deeply rooted in her Catholic faith and Slovak heritage. Many cherished her homemade apple pies, clothespin cookies, and kolachi. A longtime member of Saint Dominic Church, she was active in the Altar and Rosary Society, volunteered at the St. Vincent de Paul Society soup kitchen, attended daily Mass, and prayed the rosary faithfully throughout each day.
She will be remembered fondly as “Baba” by all who knew her. Margaret is survived by her children, Michael A. (Doreen) Belcik of Wooster, Mary Jo (John) Joyce of Mentor, Maureen (Christopher) Tesone of Poland, and Mark (Martha) Belcik of Loveland; eleven grandchildren, Brian (Melanie), Jeffrey (Danielle), Eric, Jessica (Zach), Patrick, John, Nora (Mirria), Meredith (Ben), Matthew (Alanna), Jacob (Katie), and Claire; and four great-grandchildren, Jack, Emma, Layla, and Millie. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank, Peter, and John Deley.
