Margaret A. Eakin

Margaret Ann Eakin (née Fiechuk), age 95, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold B. Eakin for 62 years, devoted mother of Janet Muller (Charles), David (Toshie), and the late Timothy (Ann), cherished grandmother of Matthew (Misty Lee), Daniel (Kristen), Tiffany (Christopher), Amanda, Kahn, Eric, and Justin, and great-grandmother of Shealyn, Gage, Lilliana, and Adalyn. She was also a loving aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Born on October 22, 1930, in Butler, Pennsylvania, Margaret was the daughter of the late Alex and Anna Fiechuk (née Sewanich). She grew up as part of a large family of sixteen children—eight brothers and eight sisters. Margaret found deep joy in raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren. She had a lifelong passion for planting flowers, gardening, and decorating her home, and she took great pride in being an excellent cook. A woman of quiet faith, she was a longtime and faithful member of the Strongsville United Methodist Church.

Margaret’s warmth, nurturing spirit, and love for her family will be remembered fondly by all whose lives she touched. She leaves behind a legacy of devotion that continues through the many generations who were blessed to call her mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
