Maretta Koyle

Richfield, UT

Maretta Ashby Koyle, 88, of Richfield, Utah, was born on June 28, 1937, in Spanish Fork, UT to Elias Ashby and Marjorie Cook, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, in Santaquin, UT. On July 20, 1962, she was sealed to Lynn M. Koyle, her forever companion in the Manti Utah Temple. Through thick and thin, the good and the bad, they always had each other. Together, they raised six beautiful children with whom they shared all their love, values, and qualities. We are so blessed to have had her amazing example to learn from and live by.

Maretta was well known and loved in her community. After her last baby went off to school, she worked for many years at the local Sears store. Maretta was a military wife for almost 40 years, also a Sevier County Search and Rescue wife, standing by Lynn’s side as he put his heart and soul into everything that he did. But really, most of her time she spent as a ‘Road Warrior’ back and forth to Provo for shopping or visiting relatives in other states. Her favorite thing was picking up her friends and going for a Diet Coke. She LOVED playing cards with anyone, anywhere, and she enjoyed tying quilts with the grandkids.

Later in their lives, she and Lynn served as Family History Missionaries and as well as Workers in the Manti Temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Maretta is survived by her children: Jeff (Mishie) Koyle, Clinton, Ut; Bonnie Burr, Franklin, ID; Greg (Lydia) Koyle, Herriman, Ut; Marjorie Asay, Spanish Fork, Ut; Mindy (Joe) Creviston, Mona, Ut; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sandra Dee Koyle; daughter-in-law, Valerie Koyle; son-in-law, Preston Asay; grandchildren: Jessica Ann Koyle, Geremy S. Koyle, Joseph H. Koyle, Tyler G. Koyle, Tyson Peterson, Erik (Larry) Jones; her 6 brothers, 2 sisters; a sister and brother-in-law

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Seasons of Santaquin staff for the kindness, patience, and generosity given during the final hours of our mother’s life.
