Marcus Franklin Bentley

Marcus Franklin “Frank” Bentley, age 77, of Toomsboro, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026. Born in Irwinton on February 23, 1949, to the late Emills Lugand Bentley and Lillie Elois Clark Bentley, Frank served his country in the United States Army before spending many years as a heavy equipment operator with Arcilla Mining Company.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Frank was preceded in death by his son Michael R. Bentley. He is survived by his wife of many years, Martha Ann Jones Bentley of Toomsboro; sons Donald Bentley and Marcus Bentley, Jr. (Kim), both of Toomsboro; sisters Della Bell of Toomsboro, Emily Currin (Burl) of Milledgeville, Ruth Cowart (Clarence) of Irwinton, Sarah Greene of Milledgeville, Helen Barnes (Dennis) and Mary Faircloth (Eff) both of Milledgeville, and Winona Patterson (Donnie) of Toomsboro; brother Lugand Bentley (Shirley) of Toomsboro; four grandchildren, Alex Bentley (Alley), Kaitlyn Williams (Brandon), Madison McCue (Will), and Heather Johnson (Mark); and three great-grandchildren.

Frank will be remembered for his steadfast love of family and the quiet strength he brought to those around him.
