Marcia Jean Newman

Marcia Jean Newman, 73, of Okeechobee, Florida, passed away on March 9, 2026. Born on January 23, 1953, in West Palm Beach, Florida, to William Stoddard Sr. and Virginia Brown, she had been a resident of Okeechobee for more than twenty years.

Marcia found deep joy in gardening and took great pride in tending her yard. She held a special love for animals, particularly dogs and cats, and cherished quiet days spent by the beach.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Dwight Newman; her parents, William Stoddard Sr. and Virginia Brown; and her brother, William Stoddard Jr.

She is survived by her sons, Corey Cain, Christopher Cain, and Carroll Cain Jr.; her sisters, Nancy Stoddard and Christina Stoddard; her grandchildren, Courtney Cain, Christina Cain, Heather Cain, and Caden Cain; and her great-grandchildren, Caleb Young and Codey Chavis Jr.
