Smith was born in 1957 at St. Peter's Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and was the beloved daughter of Alex and Lillie Bell Smith. Marcia was a deeply devoted member of Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church in Jamesburg, New Jersey. Marcia's spirit truly shone in her youth. She embraced the joy of singing and dancing and found immense fulfillment in her true passion: art, particularly painting.Marcia was fortunate to grow up in a loving and supportive family. She was surrounded by her late father, Alex Smith; her late mother, Lillie Bell Smith; her brother, Albert Lee Smith; her late grandmother, Everlena Reese; her late aunt, Anna Mae Boyd; and her late cousin, Jimmie Lee Boyd. Her loving second cousin, Cassandra Sims, also held a special place in her heart. The greatest source of joy in Marcia's life was her beloved son, Alexander Massey Smith.Through Alexander, Marcia was blessed with two beautiful grandchildren, Mercedes and AJ, who brought her immeasurable joy. Her heart swelled with love as she welcomed two great-grandchildren through AJ, adding another layer of happiness to her life.Marcia leaves behind her son, Alexander Smith, of New Jersey; her granddaughter, Mercedes; her grandson, AJ; and her two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving brother, Albert Lee Smith, and his wife, Phyllis, in Ohio, along with two nieces, Danielle Nicole Smith and Brittney Jenae Smith, and one nephew, Duone Tyler Smith (Jennifer), all in New Jersey. Additionally, she is remembered by an extended family of cousins and friends who cherish her memory.
