Marcella “Sally” A. Brown, 90, of Savanna, peacefully returned to God on Friday, March 6, 2026, in the loving care of family and hospice caregivers at MercyOne Hospital in Clinton, IA.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 16, at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Savanna. Visitation will be held prior to Mass from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Law Jones Funeral Home and interment will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at Antl Hall at the church.

Sally was born July 29, 1935, in Doon, Iowa, the daughter of William Dreier and Doris (Bauer) Dreier. She attended St. John Catholic School in Savanna and graduated from Savanna Community High School in 1954.

Sally married Floyd R. Curley in 1964, and they were married for twenty-six years. They enjoyed music, playing cards, and bowling. She later married Mack K. Brown in 1998, and they enjoyed two decades of travel adventures, visiting forty-seven U.S. states.

Sally worked at The National Bank in Savanna for forty-five years, where she served as a bookkeeper and teller. She retired in 1999 and enjoyed maintaining meticulous financial records throughout her life. A devoted Christian, Sally was an active parishioner at St. John’s and enjoyed reading in her spare time. Sally competed on Jack’s Place women’s bowling league team for many years. She was a gentle and kind soul who looked up to her two older brothers and enjoyed spending time with her nieces, nephews, and stepchildren.

Sally is survived by her sister-in-law, Marlys Dreier of Mt. Carroll, IL; two nephews, William Dreier of West Bend, WI and Ken Dreier of Madison, CT; a niece, Sarah Andrews, of West Bend, WI; two step-sons, William Brown of Weatherford, TX, and Leo Brown of Savanna, IL; and one step-daughter, Judith Law, of Savanna, IL.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Floyd Curley and Mack Brown; her two brothers, Lloyd Dreier and Harold Dreier; and her niece, Cheryl (Dreier) Brown. In her final earthly days, she looked forward to joyful reunions in Heaven with loved ones.
