Marcelino Valencia, 70, of Houston, Texas, passed away on March 8, 2026, in Baytown, Texas. Born on October 7, 1955, he was the son of Santiago Valencia and Leovigilda Valencia.

In June 1977, he married María del Carmen Domínguez in Nuevo Copaltepec, Estado de México. Throughout his life, Marcelino worked as an industrial painter, earning respect for his dedication and strong work ethic. He found joy in playing cards and dominoes, going fishing, and listening to the music of Los Armadillos de la Sierra, which always brought a smile to his face.

He is survived by his beloved wife, María del Carmen Valencia of Houston, Texas; his daughters, Rosamaria Briones and her husband Laurencio Enrique Briones, and Lizbeth Valencia and her husband Luis Gutiérrez; and his sons, Humberto Valencia and his wife Elizabeth Valencia, Fernando Valencia and his wife Griselda Valencia, Marcelino Valencia, Luis Alberto Valencia and his wife Amanda Valencia, Reynaldo Valencia and his wife Perla Valencia, and José Luis Valencia and his wife Kelsey Valencia. He is also survived by his sisters Juana Valencia and Paula Valencia, his brothers Modesto Valencia and Alfonso Valencia, and his mother Leovigilda Valencia. Marcelino leaves behind a loving legacy in his 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren: Crystal Briones, Alex Valencia, Aaron Briones, Fernando Valencia Jr., Melissa Briones, Emily Valencia, Melanie Valencia, Apryl Gutiérrez, Alexa Valencia, Luis Gutiérrez, Amberleigh Valencia, Vivian Valencia, Reynaldo Valencia Jr., Isaiah Valencia, Adalynn Valencia, Kai Valencia, and Kaiden Valencia.

He was preceded in death by his father, Santiago Valencia, and his brothers Francisco Valencia and José Guadalupe Valencia.
