María del Carmen Ramírez

María del Carmen Ramírez, born on August 18, 1970, in Chicomuselo, Chiapas, Mexico, passed away peacefully at her residence on March 5, 2026, surrounded by her family. She spent most of her life in her beloved hometown of Chicomuselo before moving to Clinton, Mississippi, where she spent the final two years of her life. A devoted member of the First Pentecostal Church of Jackson, María found deep fulfillment in her faith and community involvement, which touched the lives of all who knew her. She was known for her love of plants and her exceptional culinary talents, which she generously shared with family and friends.

Remembered as a proud matriarch who placed her family above all else, María is survived by her husband, Felipe Sánchez-Pérez, and her daughters, Dalila Sánchez and her husband Tomás, and Odilia Sánchez. She is also survived by her sons, Félix Sánchez, Henry Sánchez, Kevin Sánchez, Esteban Sánchez, Isai Sánchez, and Arbensis Sánchez. Her legacy lives on through her granddaughters Yoana Muñoz, Kimberly Muñoz, Michelle Roblero, Sarai Roblero, Betsabe Roblero, Victoria Roblero, and Adara Sánchez, and her grandson Caleb Muñoz. The warmth and devotion María del Carmen Ramírez showed her family will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
