María Antonia Sánchez was born on July 9, 1948, in Hacienda de Nogales, Tamaulipas. She met the love of her life in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, where she began a beautiful life with her husband, Pedro G. Sánchez. Together they shared 58 years of marriage grounded in love, commitment, and faith.

A strong, courageous woman deeply devoted to her family, María Antonia lived with unwavering faith, a generous spirit, and unconditional love. Her greatest joy was found in her family and her church, where she discovered purpose, comfort, and community. She drew constant strength from her favorite verse, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13), which guided her through every chapter of her life.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Pedro G. Sánchez; her children, Pedro Sánchez Jr., María Guadalupe Sánchez, Ana Laura Rubalcaba, Blanca López, Jesús David Sánchez, and Carlos Humberto Sánchez; her grandchildren, Pedro Sánchez III, Larissa Ileana Sánchez, Esteban Antonio Sánchez, Diana Vanessa Cardona, Daniel Eduardo Cardona, Diego Armando Cardona, Esttivalis Selena Antinori, Anthony Antonio Antinori III, Cristóbal López Jr., Cristian Ezequiel López, Edely Hope Sánchez, and Jasmine Destiny Sánchez; and her great-grandchildren, Julius Cardona and Alora Inez Sánchez. She is also survived by her siblings, Liborio Mendoza, Tomasa Muruaga, and Juan Rivera Paulín.

María Antonia will be remembered for her quiet strength, her deep faith, and the immense love she gave to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy endures in the hearts of her family and in the lessons she left behind.
