Manuel Galvan Jr. passed away at his home in Corpus Christi, Texas, on Thursday, March 12, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. A profoundly hardworking man, he was an incredibly devoted single father to his three sons, Christopher, Michael, and Manuel III. Known for his loyalty and unwavering work ethic, Manuel was an admired and respected employee at Golden Corral Restaurant for more than thirty years. Even during his illness, he often expressed his desire to return to work, a testament to his deep commitment to his co-workers and employer. His dedication was recognized many times with the “Employee of the Month” award.
Manuel was affectionately called “Mr. Fix-it” because he truly could repair almost anything, a skill that brought comfort and help to those around him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrea and Manuel Galvan Sr., his brothers Roger and Ruben Galvan, and his son Manuel Galvan III.
He is lovingly remembered by his brothers Reynaldo, Ricardo, Rafael, and Carlos Galvan, and his sisters Yolanda Garcia, Irene Galvan, and Lorraine Williams. Manuel will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and co-workers. Those who loved him hold to the hope expressed in Isaiah 26:19 of a future resurrection and joyful restoration.
