Manuel Dominguez

June 29, 1944 March 8, 2026

China Spring, TX

Manuel Dominguez was born on June 29, 1944, to Julian and Valentina Flores Dominguez in Marlin, Texas. He played football in school and graduated from China Spring High School in 1962. Manuel earned his bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas in San Antonio. A brilliant student who excelled both academically and professionally, he enjoyed a distinguished 45-year career as an Industrial Construction Superintendent, Project Manager, and Consultant.

Manuel and Mary Balderas Dominguez raised their two children, Teena Dominguez Jimenez and Michael Dominguez, in China Spring. His children were the delight of his life, and being their father was his greatest honor. He deeply cherished his four grandchildren—Jordan, Adriana, Marissa, and Jarred—and his great-grandchild, Braecyn, who was the apple of his eye. The highlight of Manuel’s life was spending family time and summer vacations with them, especially when the children helped “Pop Pops” with his farm chores.

Manuel owned a small family farm where he lovingly raised miniature horses and donkeys, goats, pigs, chickens, and several spoiled dogs. He had a natural gift with animals and cared tenderly for all of God’s creatures. When not tending to the farm, he could be found leading teams on major industrial construction sites throughout Texas, the U.S. Gulf Coast, and overseas. His career began with Brown & Root Industrial Services and BE&K Building Group as Superintendent, followed by roles as Project Manager with KamTech Services and Ahlstrom Construction. Later, he served as an Industrial Construction Consultant for Dynamic Structures at Disney Parks in Orlando, Florida, and in China.

Manuel was tenderly cared for by his son, Michael, in his final years. He leaves behind a loving family who reflect the same caring spirit he showed throughout his life. He is now at rest in the presence of God, joyfully reunited with his devoted daughter Teena, his parents Julian and Valentina, and many other loved ones who preceded him.
